Synergistic/antagonistic interactions between Neopseudocercosporella , Alternaria , Leptosphaeria , and Hyaloperonospora determine aggregate foliar disease severity in rapeseed

چکیده
White leaf spot (Neopseudocercosporella capsellae), Alternaria (Alternaria brassicae), blackleg (Leptosphaeria maculans), and downy mildew (Hyaloperonospora brassicae) commonly co-occur on rapeseed (Brassica napus). In controlled environment studies, the synergistic/antagonistic interactions between these four pathogens were determined using two cultivars (Surpass 400, Thunder TT) with contrasting susceptibilities/resistances towards pathogens. A spectrum of significant (p < 0.001) was observed specific pathogen–pathogen interaction outcomes by sequence inoculation different each cultivar. On TT, more severe when A. brassicae applied prior to N. capsellae, but reduced following capsellae. Surpass enhanced For involving H. co-inoculated brassicae, or L. maculans, irrespective co-inoculating pathogen application sequence. This study highlights how disease severity one co-occurring is enhanced/decreased in presence other emphasizes importance both relative host plant resistances/susceptibilities together determining total burden from diseases. Clearly, there a need for germplasm selection breeding programmes seriously consider implications complexes rather than solely relying upon single-pathogen screening tests.

Relation between Voice Handicap Index (VHI) and disease severity in Iranian patients with Parkinson’s disease
Background: One third of patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) have mentioned “dysphonia” as their most debilitating communication deficit. Patient-based measurements, such as Voice Handicap Index (VHI) add necessary supplementary information to clinical and physiological assessment. There are a few studies about relation between VHI and disease severity in PD, although none of them showed an...
متن کاملCorrelation between Acoustic Parameters and Disease Severity and Duration in Patients with Multiple Sclerosis
Background: Since in multiple sclerosis (MS), changes in speech and voice quality often precede other signs and symptoms; early diagnosis of these changes is necessary. In this study, an acoustic examination of phonation subsystem was performed. Due to the progressive nature of multiple sclerosis, the aim of this study was to examine the correlation between acoustic parameters ...
متن کاملThe Relationship Between Areas of Occupation and Severity of Depression, Anxiety, and Stress in Parkinson’s Disease
Objective Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative progressive condition with a number of nonmotor symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and stress. These have the most debilitating characteristics and increase the severity and progression of the disease and often reduce functional ability in the sufferers. For this reason, they may, over time, lose their daily living activities skills (...
متن کاملCorrelation between smoking and severity of periodontal disease in patients with periodontitis in Kerman
Introduction: Periodontitis is a common inflammatory disease of dental supporting tissues caused by bacteria, leading to inflammation, irreversible gum attachment loss, and alveolar bone destruction and eventually tooth loss. While infection is a necessary prerequisite for developing periodontitis, its course and severity depend on a number or factors including inheritance, health behaviors and...
متن کاملThe Relationship between Diaphragmatic Movements in Sonographic Assessment and Disease Severity in Patients with Stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Introduction: Pulmonary hyperinflation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can increase the breathing rate and reduce diaphragmatic movements by pushing the diaphragms downward and limiting their movements; this, in fact, can affect the breathing process. The purpose of this study was to compare diaphragmatic movements in COPD patients and healthy ones and to evaluate ...
